Cross-Stitching Is My New Passion

Hello there!

If I already found time to sit on the computer, I will use it to the maximum and will share with you something other than paper projects.

On a few of the recent makes you might have already seen the cross-stitched embellishments (1 and 2). Cross stitching has been so fun and unusual for me, that I've decided to keep on going and finished several more pieces that I would like to show you today.

The first is this little elephant and his friend ( the pattern by Svetlana Nemiritzkaya). I've bought a shadow box from IKEA and framed the project. Now it is hanging on the wall in one of my daughters' rooms. 

The second was a little pattern from the Korean brand - Soda Stitch. The whole pattern included more ballerina girls, but I cross stitched only one of them, and made a key chain pillow with it.

I have two more stitched patterns, but haven't used them for anything yet.

Graphic 45 "Cafe Parisian" - An Up-cycled Plastic Box

Hello!

And yet I am here with another project that I haven't had a chance to share on the blog, it was created for the Graphic 45 design team and has been featured on the official G45 blog here.

I took a plastic cheese box and turned it into a decor piece, with the help of some embellishments and of course the beautiful paper from the "Cafe Parisian" collection.

Besides different yummy elements that I’ve cut out from the paper sheets, I’ve added a little metal spoon and a tiny macaroon, which was handmade {by yours truly} out of air dry clay. I’ve used distress inks for coloring the white clay into the tone that I needed for my project.

I love the Cafe Parisian line for being so versatile and matching any theme or occasion.

The design team term is almost over, but I will be making more project with the beautiful papers, so don't worry and stop by from time to time to check the new posts here and on my Instagram :)

La-La Land Crafts Monday Inspiration

Hello dear people!

Life has been really crazy lately and although I do find time to create here and there, I cannot always get to a computer and write a up a post on the blog or on Facebook, in order to share my makes :)

Anyway, here is a gift card box that was created with the La-La Land Crafts stamps and dies (you will find the list of the supplies below).

I used a clear embossing powder together with the wood planks stamp to create a background in the window opening in the center of the box:

The little chicks were colored with Copics:

Y28, Y26, Y23 + Y02

YR09, YR12

The gift card is held inside the box in the dedicated slot, which was truly easy to create with the Stitched Slots Die.

I will also share another card which has been made earlier, featuring one of the newest photo polymer stamp sets.

May Anything Goes Challenge @ I Am Roses

Hello there!

It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at I Am Roses blog and we are inviting you to join in the fun and create a project using the I Am Roses flowers. You can submit your works till the 8th of June here.

I would also like to share with you my inspiration for the challenge - it's a small canvas, created with the flowers from IAR, the paper "Believe in Miracle" from Fabrika Decoru and the decorative chipboard from the Studio "Prosto Nebo". 

The paper collection is so "girly" with the rainbows, unicorn and castles in the sky. The carriage chipboard goes perfectly well with it and of course the flowers add a nice finishing touch to the whole project. 

Here are the rules of the challenge, super simple! And the prizes are rewarding!

I Am Roses Inspiration - A Fabric Covered Box with a Cross Stitch Embellishment

Hello dear visitors!

My daughter always asks "to make something cute" for her and this time I've listened :) I've made a fabric covered box, where she plans to keep her collection of LOL dolls.

The design of the box is like the one in this video. The cross stitched embellishment is part of the free pattern.
