Graphic 45 - A Box with the "Children's Hour"

Hello dear visitors!

It's been a very long time since I shared an Alexandra-style box, embellished with the Graphic 45 papers, right?! It is going to change today :)

The box that I am about to share with you today was created for a reason - I needed to put somewhere my growing collection of needles. I have been storing them in my sewing drawer, but they were scattered all over and I couldn't see what exactly I had, so this is how the box was born. I also had a few loose sheets of the Graphic 45 "Children's Hour" collection, that I wanted to use and really did not know for what. So it just all came together nicely and I was able both to create a useful box and to use the leftover papers.

Here are some close-up pics of the fussy cut elements on the lid:

The lid by the way is magnetic, so it's very easy to open and close the box.

As you might have already noticed, there are 3 frames on the inside of the lid. I haven't decided yet, if I wanted to put pictures in there, or maybe created a list of what's in each compartment.

I enjoyed cutting out the tiniest elements for those floral clusters!

Forgot to mention, that the frame on the lid can also house either a picture, or a list of the contents' of the box, or actually stay as is :)

The dimensions of the box are 9.5 (L) X 5.5" (W) X 3 1/4" (D).

That's all from me for today! I hope you like my share.

La-La Land Crafts - Inspiration Monday

Hello dear friends!

Another Monday is here and I am happy to share a project for the La-La Land Crafts design team. This week we were free to choose what to create and I decided to make a gift box for a friend of my daughter, who we are (hopefully) going to see this week, for the first time, after a long quarantine lock down.

A gift card will be inside the box, and since it is for a girl, of course it had to be done in the pink color scheme.

Below you can find a list of the LLLC products that I used for creating this project:
Hello Baby Paper Pack
Hello There Stamp Set
Cameo Frames Die
Pierced Scalloped Ovals Die
Double Stitched Ovals Die
Rolled Rose Small & Medium Die
Three Roses Die
Scroll Banner Die

A stamped image was colored with Copics:
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000
Hair: E18, E15, E11
Pinks: RV99, RV95, RV93, RV91

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!

Oval Cartonnage Box with a Cross Stitched Bird

Hi there!

What do you do when you lack inspiration? You just do not craft, right? Me too!
But if you lack inspiration for a while...? In that case I turn my attention to the tutorials by other crafters.

The below box was creating with the help of a tutorial by a crafter from Russia - Nataliya Yurkevich. She has a group in VK, called "BoxBoom". Unfortunately, Nataliya doesn't have an Instagram account, or a blog (at least, I was unable to find those), so if you are interested to have a look at her other projects, you can do that only in VK.

Anyways, below is my oval box, created from scratch, covered all in and outside with cotton fabric. On the lid these is a pattern with a bird, that I cross stitched on 28 ct. MCG Textiles evenweave. It is my first ever time of using evenweave and not aida for stitching. I was worried that I will not mark the fabric correctly, but thankfully it went ok :)

The pattern is a free one by Ekaterina Seregina. You can download it here.

I knew how to create an oval or a round box, but I was really excited to try and use fabric instead of paper for embellishing the box.

Still need to decide what to store here :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Graphic 45 "Secret Garden" ATC Cards

Happy Monday everyone!

I was cleaning up the files on my computer and found these non-shared before pictures of the ATC cards that I created a while back using the Graphic 45 "Secret Garden" Collection. I can't believe that this collection was originally released in 2013, and then came back as deluxe edition in 2016. Both of these years seem so far away now.

Have a great Monday and the rest of the week guys! Be well! Thanks for watching.

A Junk Journal Share

Hello there!

In July 2019 I finished my last junk journal, posted a picture of it on my Instagram and was sure that I would post a video flip through of the journal as well. Unfortunately it did not happen and although I still have the journal, did not gave it away or sell it, video flip through will not follow.

I decided to post some pictures that I was able to take back in July, just for history and for self-learning too, I guess. I like to compare my current works to the past ones while surfing through my blog. I haven't created a lot of those journals, so there is always room for perfecting the skills.

And here it is next to another journal I previously made:

The rest of the pictures follow. There is a lot of them! Just click below >>>>>
