Hello everyone!
Spoiler alert - it's a long post! :)
Spring has finally come to Texas and it feels amazing! We missed the warm wether so much!
We visited Botanical Gardens today and being impressed by the beautiful florals outside, today I'd like to share these two vintage style journals, which have quite a few beautiful botanical illustrations inside:
I have always enjoyed making journals (you can have a look at some of my older ones
here, here or
here), but vintage style junk journals have become my new passion. Both of the journals that I am sharing today, were inspired by the the fantastic works of Wendy Connors-Beckett a.k.a.
Wendy's Journal Adventure. If you enjoy journal making and you are not familiar with Wendy's channel, I do recomment that you check it out, she is fantastic!
In the base of the journals, there are envelopes, that's why each page can serve as a pocket.

I noticed that I started to turn more and more to the sellers of digital ephemera on Etsy. One can find so many digital kits with vintage ephemera there! One of my favorite stores is
Love Junk Journals, run and owned by Tracie Fox.
Not only Tracie has an amazing store, but she also initiated a launch of a digital magazine about crafters for crafters. The magazine it called "Foxy Rag"; 4 issues have been released so far and all of them can be purchased (and then downloaded) from the
Foxy Rag Etsy store.
I am excited to say that there is a short article about me in the 4th issue of the magazine. Thank you Tracie for this opportunity!
Inside the 4th issue of 'Foxy Rag' you will find 32 pages of articles, usable elements, and features on new Etsy shops, new YouTube channels and artists, plus lots more besides.
The magazine includes 12 pages of digital vintage style ephemera which can be printed out and used in your journals (click on the pictures below to open them in a new window):
It is definitely worth checking out.
I think I will finish my today's post with a few pictures of the flowers from the Botanical Garden:
This was my longest blog post ever. Thanks for reaching all the way to the end of it!
Have a blessed day!
