Animal Kingdom - Journal and Pencil Holder Tutorial

Hello!

The fourth journal for the Junk Journaling Station is now finished and ready to be shared.

Here are the links to the previous posts and journals:
4 - You are here :)

I remind you that we worked with the digital collections by Vectoria Designs. All the collections are available for purchase and download from their Etsy store. Just type the name of the collection in the Search Field and choose the printable version of the the kit you need.

Let's look together at the whole set:

The journals might look similar in style from the outside, but each one has different features on the inside.

To go along with the Animal Kingdom Journal, I decided to make a pencil holder, too:

I just love this pair:

I used stamps from Tim Holtz on the spine of the book and added a beaded charm to it:

On the front cover I created an acetate window with the beautiful deer:

I thought that using ribbons for a closure would be the easiest:

Now let's have a look inside (click each picture to enlarge):

Working on this project was so fun! I am almost sad that it is over :) It will look spectacular on a book shelf or on a crafting desk.

Oh yeah, and the pencil holder matches it perfectly!

As I have mentioned, you will be able to visit each one of my previous posts and find the links to all the tutorials there.

As for the Animal Kingdom Journal, you can find its video overview here https://youtu.be/tgPET-2PEcM:

I am not sure for how long the links to the products will be active, but I am posting some of them below:

La-La Land Crafts September 2023 Release - Tales of Oz - Day 3

Hello-hello!

Day 3 of the new release showcase is here and the La-La Land Crafts design team will be sharing their projects with you throughout this whole week.

My today's project was created for a very special online event that La-La Land Crafts has been having every year - La-La Palooza Craft Retreat. For the past 3 years the event has been virtual and allowed more people to participate in it.

In the following pictures you can see some of the pages with the most of the die cut elements, as well as the ones with the stamped and colored adorable flying monkeys:

Here is a list of the new products that I used in my album:

The monkeys were colored with Copics:
Bodies: E18, E15, E13
Faces: E04, E11, E00
Wings: T6, W5, W2, W0

There is no double that the "Wizard of Oz" release has been awesome! Please stay tuned for days 4- 6 and visit the La-La Land Crafts blog for more inspiration from the rest of the design team members from Thursday till Saturday.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
