G45 "A Portrait of a Lady" - Mini Album

Hello!

Sometimes an idea for a project doesn't want to shape in our head, but sometimes the mojo visits and only after looking at ONE something, we get the full and immediate idea about how we want our project to be. This is what happened to me, once I saw a drawer pull.

I purchased that drawer pull a while ago from AliExpress and was sure that it will arrive with shorter screws, which will be just enough to attach the pull to thick chipboard. I was not expecting that the screws will be about 3/4" long.

That’s why I finally thought of using the them for holding the album’s pages and be a base of the binding. A little strap on the side to hold the album closed and a fantastic paper by Graphic 45 finished everything off. I hope you like the result.

Here are some details of the cover:

The inside pages are very simple, just a few cutout from the paper and a photo mat with the photo corners:

I planned to make a tutorial on this album, but than thought that the way of constructing the binding is quite self explanatory. Let me know what you think, because I have a shot video (which still needs to be edited) with the instructions, but I am not sure if it is worth uploading it to You Tube.

Graphic 45 products used:
Portrait of a Lady 12x12 Pad
Portrait of a Lady Tags & Pockets
Portrait of a Lady Decorative Chipboard
Ornate Metal Label Holder

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. The album is quite lovely. I have never seen these photo corners before. Are they from a punch? If so, what brand? A tutorial would be very nice.

    2. Hi Alexandra, loveee your album. I'm from Singapore. May I know how you buy stuff from Russia to Singapore? Any special courier service / agent? Also, may I know what brand for the rose dies? Thanks!!

    3. Hi Susan! Most of the stores in Russia offer International delivery. There's no special carrier, it's Russian Post by default. The only problem that you might have is placing the order as some of the stores do not support English, even if you use Google Translate. But in that case you can always contact the store directly and tell them what you want and ask for assistance.
The rose die is from here:

My corner matic tool is handmade from chipboard. I found a video tutorial which you can use for creating a cornermatic tool of your own
