Christmas Tree Candy Holders with the G45 "St. Nicholas" + Tutorial

Hello everyone!

With the winter holidays approaching fast, here is a quick idea and a project for your Christmas and New Year trees - Candy Holders.

For mine I used the paper collection by Graphic 45 - "St.Nicholas". I created another project with it last year, and it was a Candy Vase with a Mini Album.

Back to the Candy Holders - in this post below you will find a video tutorial. It doesn't have verbal explanations of what do to, since the project is an easy one, but I would still want to give a few measurements as follows:

You will stat with a white cardstock measuring 8 3/4" X 9 1/4".
On the long side you will score it at 1 3/4" > 3.5" > 5 1/4" > 7" & 8 3/4".
On the short side you will score at 1 3/4" > 3.5" > 5 1/4" & 7".
Then cut the access corner pieces and leave the flaps for building up your box, as shown in the above picture.

The process of assembly and embellishing is in the video, so please have a look :)

My kids absolutely loved the candy boxes on a Christmas tree! I hope yours will do too.

Thanks for visiting me today!

A 'December Daily' with the G45 "Winter Wonderland"

Hello dear friends!

Can you believe that it is already that time of the year, when we are searching for presents in agony, trying to plan every detail of the magical holidays, to make them perfect?

I have never had a “December Daily” book (or album), but this year I thought to give it a try. I created a notebook with cardstock pages in two colors (white and craft), added a couple of pockets to the inside front and back covers, embellished some of the pages of the notebook too, all that using one of the recent collections - “Seasons”. I really wanted to cut into those papers, but since we step into winter, I left the rest of the seasons’ sheets for later :)

Now I will be writing down what we did on each day of December 2017 and will add pictures of some memorable moments.

From the small fussy cut elements I created stickers and placed them into the pocket on the inside back cover. This way I will easily access them once I feel like I need to add more interest to a certain page in my December Daily.

Let's get this hop started!

I had quite a few of Christmas and winter projects lately, so I decided to kind of "water it down" with other projects. For the hop I have prepared a mini album with the "Zella Teal" paper from Prima and beautiful I AM Roses flowers in the matching color scheme.

The album measures 4.5" X 6 1/4", the spine is 1 3/4". It has 6 pages inside, which are simply matted with the "Zella Teal" papers.

I've used the  IAR flowers on the cover of the album (the links will follow):

On the inside covers there are fabric pockets:

Besides the album, I've made a laminated traveler's notebook with the same paper and the whole set looks wonderful together:

For the Traveler's notebook I used a tutorial from YouTube (in case you were wondering).
So... That's my portion of the inspiration for the Blog Hop, and here is the line up of other I Am Roses Design Team:
Alexandra Morein (You are here)
Roselany Caroline
Rosemary Bridges

Let's get this party started and enjoy the hop! Don't forget to comment!

GOOD LUCK!!
