A Maze Toy using a "Smile of Spring" by Fabrika Decoru

Hello dear readers!

My today's post is for the "Fabrika Decoru" Design Team. It's a Ukrainian manufacturer of scrapbooking supplies, which include paper, chipboard, lots of mediums for mixed media, texture pastes, colored sprays, glues, as well as the bases for mini albums and different embellishments too.

The project which I would like to share today was inspired by the TV series "Westworld". After watching it I wanted to create a maze out of chipboard, so this is how this decorative toy was born.

The transparent plastic sheet on top of the base box is not an acetate, but an acrylic plate, 3 mm in thickness. It is very shiny and brings a special charm and finish to the whole item.

The lid is held on top of the box's base with the help of the magnets.

For embellishing the maze I used the beautiful papers from the "Smile of Spring" collection. The cute deers, and a little bunny, along with the gorgeous flowers, leaves and branches will make you fall in love with this paper line.

I Am Roses Blog Hop

Hello everyone!

Today we start a fun hop over the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. There will, of course, be prizes for the winners, so don't waste your time and start hopping.

I made a mini album, using an uncommon color combination of blue, green and yellow. I hope you will like how it turned out :)

Close-ups of the cover with the beautiful I Am Roses flowers:

Here are the links to the flowers which I used throughout the album:
S4 - 594
R2- 401

I had an album in my stash, I really liked the jeans cover and this is why I bought the album on the first place. I knew I would not use the sleeves. This is how the album originally looked like:

As you can see, I took the photo pockets out and instead of them created two pocket pages with photo mats inside, attached to the hidden hinge binding.

This is how the inside pages look like after my re-make:

The album can hold 14 pictures of 3 x 4". A few more pics can be glued down to the larger photo mats:

The back:

Graphic 45 - Planner with Place in Time

So… Planners…. They are so popular nowadays, but also very expensive at times. We, crafters, should be thankful, that having proper supplies and a bit of time (well, maybe more than a bit), we can create a planner of our own, decorate it to our liking and include only the details which we need to have, without any bothering extras.

I am lucky to be a housewife now, so I don’t have excessive plans for months and weeks. I do need to write down the dates of the posts for different design teams, I do need to write down the dates of various school activities of my eldest daughter and from time to time other little things like meetings with friends, family events, doctor appointments etc…

Having at hand a mixed media album by Graphic 45 makes putting down a planner of your own design real easy. The process of finishing the planner which I want to share with you today took me a while though, because I wanted to create different layouts for each of the 12 months. Cutting everything out, planning the compositions and gluing all down was a relishing labor J

The planner is structured according to the four seasons of the year. Each season begins with a pocket divider which holds a calendar tag (I will write down the dates later). Then come the dividers for each of the 3 months of the corresponding season, and in between you can find plain sheets of copy paper for the daily notes. Very simple, right?  But this is what I thought would work for me the best.

Once all the inside monthly dividers were finished, I embellished the front cover of my planner and used the leftover cutouts from the “Place in Time” collection. Each one belonged to another month, yet they blended great together.

Have you created a 2017 planner yet? If no – it’s high time to begin, and to use the gorgeous Deluxe “Place in Time” paper by our beloved brand – “Graphic 45”.
