This post will be very picture-heavy, beware! :)
I got a chance to play with the amazing "Safari Adventure" paper collection from Graphic 45. The colors and the images of "Safari Adventure" are without any exaggeration stunning and inviting to create.
The project which I am sharing today includes a travel case with a mini album inside. The mini album has a lot of interactive flaps, so despite the fact that there is a decent amount of pictures in this post, I will also be adding a video overview (may be found at the bottom of this post), so that you could visualize everything better.
And for now, only the pictures follow. I hope you will enjoy looking :)
First, the album and the case side by side:
And now separately:
The album's spine is connected to the case and once you want to flip through it, you have to slide it off the case's base:
Here is the album and its inside pages:
Loved this mini door plate from G45!
The album has 4 pages, but is very heavy in the light of the amount of the flaps and the paper used:
Please stay tuned for the updated post and the video overview of this set.
Here is a video overview of the Safari Adventure Mini Album in a Case:
Have a creative weekend.

Alexandra

ReplyDeleteRealy It's Amazing !!! I Love It . All details, paper, everithing !! kiss!!1 From Patagonia Argentina
ReplyDeleteCan hardly wait for the tutorial. You have such an amazing talent.. Love your tutorials..
ReplyDeleteAlexandra, your use of color, pattern and composition on your pages is spectacular. It's refreshing to see someone else doing clean and simple design. Too many mini album artists pile on too much ribbon, lace and stuff. You strike the perfect balance of embellishment and simplicity. Love your work, especially this piece.
ReplyDeletePLEASE tell me you're going to have the tutorial for this set!!!! Or if it is available already where can I get it?? It is TOO amazing. BEAUTIFUL...
ReplyDeleteAmazing project, love the way the album spine slides onto the base of the case. I can see the wonderful inspiration of Cathy (So Much Scrap) in these pages with all the flaps, love them. :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for making the tutorial for this available! I love this set! Do you have another tutorial available for making the pages?? The detail in the pages of this album add SOOOO much to the it's beauty and interest. Please let me know if there is a tutorial for the pages and where I to get it. Thank You!

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing .. Graphics45 has wonderful stuff, but here in France, it's rather hard to find, and extremely expensive ... So I'm just admiring, and wow ! This case and booklet is gorgeous ! Congratulations !

ReplyDeleteWould love a tutorial for this (album and suitcase) and your later sliding album in a suitcase pretty please.
Hi. There is a tutorial for the same case construction and the album base, using another paper line.
DeletePay attention, that the tutorial does not include instructions on building the pages like in the "Safari Adventure" mini. The rest is the same - the shape and the sliding mechanism.
http://clayguana.blogspot.sg/2016/07/magnolia-sky-sliding-mini-album-in-case.html
Do you have a tutorial that shows how to build the pages? This is an awesome project! Your talent amazes me!
DeleteI would really like to purchase a tutorial for the pages too! Thanks!
DeleteWould love a tutorial on the pages. Thank you. Amazing work
ReplyDeleteME three please! Thank you!
ReplyDeletethis is SOOO AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteHi! May I know you use what size of paper for the box and album? Coz I'm gg to buy the paper pad but not sure will it be 2x(8x8) or 1(8x8) + 1(12x12).. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello. The 8X8 size should be enough both for the case and the album's pages. regarding how many of the pads you will need - it really depends on how elaborate you want your pages to be. Obviously, the more flaps, pockets and mats you create, the more paper you will need.
DeleteWhere can I find a tutorial for this amazing project? I want to try it out.
ReplyDeleteDo you sell this anywhere?
Hi
Delete.
The is a tutorial for bulding a case, a sliding mechanism and the album to go inside, using another paper line though. And the structure of the pages inside the album from the tutorial is also different.
The tutorial is available for purchase through the "Shop" page here on the blog (look for it in the top left part under the header).
I hope this helps.
Can you direct me to the tutorial please
