Desk Organiser and Journal - Vintage Library PP by Vectoria Designs

Hello everyone!

I have a new tutorial up on my YouTube channel and I hope you'll be able to visit me there. What we will be creatng together this time is the desk organizer and a matching journal, using one of the new project packs from Vectoria Designs which is called 'Vintage Library'. As soon as I saw the preview of the graphics I fell in love with this pack. I hope it will inspire you as much as it inspired me :)

The project pack contains 24 journal pages, 8 background paper designs and 6 sheets of printable ephemera. If you like the papers and look for an idea what to create with them, I am happy to help!

The tutorial comes in two parts. In the Part 1 i show you how to create the stand/organizer from scratch using medium weight chipboard:

In the Part 2, we are going to finish embellishing the stand and get to creating the Journal.

Although I did not film how to create a folio and an accordion ephemera holder, I provide some of the measurements which will help you easily replicate them.

What do you say? Will you create the stand and the journal together with me?
Let's begin!!

With Love - Fun and Easy Mini Album for La-La Land Crafts

Hello everyone!

I wish all of you a great week and am thankful for your stopping by this Monday post on my blog.

The poroject that I' d like to share with you today goes back to November 2020, when we had a fun virtual event - La-La Palooza Craft Retreat. It wasn't supposed to be virtual, but had to become an online event, instead of the in-person one.

One of the projects that I created for the reatreat was the below gatefold mini album, featuring numerous La-La Land Crafts dies, the sweet Marci with Pen stamp on the cover and adorable piggies on the inside pages of the album:

A belly bend kept the album closed:

The bottom of the album was sturdy because all the pages were bound there. To provide more stability to the top part of it and prevent it from squishing, I decided to add a layer of acetate there. It serves as a clear page protector.

I loved adding piggies, busy with writing or delivering letters, to different pages of the album.

The album measures 4X6" and has 3/4" deep spines:

La-La Land Crafts Cards

Hello everyone!

How are you doing this Monday? I hope everybody is well and enjoying sunny summer days. Kids are off school and as much as it is awesome to have them around, it might be hard to find time for crafting or even writing posts on the blog, right? :))

That's why today I have a number of cards to share, that I have created throughout the previous weeks and couldn't get to posting them here.

First of all, our inspiration theme for this week over the La-La Land Crafts blog is "For the Boys". I made a birthday card with an adorable rhino from the Hippo Birdie Clear Stamp Set:

I did not use any patterened paper on this card and decided to utilize the stencils from the 'Celebration Layering Stencil Set' instead. The confetti stencil was used with the Distress Ink, and the stars were embossed with the glittery gold embossing powder. It looks awesome in real life, so shiny!

To create a section for the shaker in the balloon die, I simply cut out through several layers of paper using my craft knife. The shape was not fancy, it was easy to cut it out.

I used part of the 'Birthday Die' and small word stamps from the 'Happy Birthday Stamp Set' to complete my card. One last thing that I added though was the decrative triangle piece from the 'Shadow Box Die' set.

Here is the list of the products that I used for creating this card:
Hippo Birdie Clear Stamp Set
Happy Birthday Stamp Set
Celebration Layering Stencil Set
Balloon Die
Birthday Die
Shadow Box Die
Stitched Nested Circles Die

The cute rhino was colored with Copics:
Rhino's Body: T7, T5, T3, T1 + R20
Horn: W5, W2
Present: E57, YR24, Y38, Y17, Y15
Ribbon: B04, B02, B00
Bow:YG97, YG95, YG93, YG21

And to the card that I created during the past week... The first is this one with the adorable bear from the 'Honey Bear Clear Stamp Set'. I love him so much!

There is a 3D looking frame on this card, but you can actually collapse it flat and put in an envelope. I used this tutorial as a base for creating my card, the ideas was really awesome!

Here is the list of the products which were used for creating the 'bear' card:

I used Copic markers to color the bear:
Bear: E44, E43, E42, E41 + R20
Pot: RV99, V95, RV93, RV91
Honey: YR24, Y17, Y06

The last card that I wanted to share with you also features one of the beards from the 'Honey Bear Clear Stamp Set':

Inspiration Monday - La-La Land Crafts - Flowers

Happy Monday, everyone!

I have a CAS card with a bird and flowers to share with you today. It has a tulle opening in the center, through which  you can see the sentiment stamped on the inside of the card.

I die cut some flowers and layered them in pairs to create more dimension on the front of the card:

I like the flower branches and leaves which are part of the Large Birdhouse Die:

I had a matching envelope for my card and at the picture below I placed it so that you can see that the tulle window can be seen through :)

The birds are colored with Copics:
RV99, V95, RV93, RV91
E25, E23, E21

I wish you all a quiet peaceful week!
