I Am Roses Inspiration Post

Hello dear friends!

I want to share a little inspiration with the I Am Roses flowers and to remind you about the Anything Goes November Challenge which is still on and we are waiting for you cards and projects to be shared with the IAR team and with the rest of the crafters. The winner will get an awesome prize package full of gorgeous flowers.

I created one more box from an empty scotch bobbin and this time it is in pink and it is for my daughter who asked so nicely that I made a box for her too :)

I have a tutorial on my You Tube channel for creating the box (using other papers and embellishments, but the principle is the same).

Here are the links to the IAR flowers which I used on this box:
Small Rainbow Paper Flowers
Pink Variegated Mulberry Paper Roses

Most of the dies which I used on the pink box are from the Fantasy Hobby Shop
Here two of the bobbin boxes together: (You can find the post with the first box here.)

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabrika Decoru - DT Call Application

Hello dear readers!

The Ukrainian manufacturer of the wonderful and very versatile products which include (of course) paper and a ton of other items (mostly great for the mixed media lovers) is having a Design Team Call. I could not resist sending my application too :)

I especially LOVE the Fabrika Decoru papers, because to me they look very different from the others available on the market. I love the patterns which are simple and whimsical at the same time, I love the cutout sheets which allow you to add even more details to a project, without getting upset that you have to cut a beautiful paper sheet only for a certain element that you need. This is so cool!

I had a chance to use a couple of "FD" stencils, adhesives and enamel dots and I must say - the quality is perfect which is the most important thing for any crafter!

Indeed, the brand is growing and developing so fast! I would definitely be thrilled to be an active helper and a witness for this growth. The projects which the current Design Team members have been creating have been so inspiring! Working together with the talented people is a pleasant bonus I would like to get too :)

The projects which I would like to share here as an example of my style, will let you understand that I mostly like unusual and unique constructions from chipboard. They take time to create, but give a feeling of satisfaction once done. I adore boxes of various shapes, suitcases and of course mini albums.

Here are some examples. Most of the projects which I post on my blog would have a coming along tutorial, which may be found on my You Tube channel (the link to the channel will appear below).

Thank you.

One More Suitcase

Hello everyone!

While my eldest daughter is in pre-school and the little one is sleeping, I have some time to write up my blog posts and share the projects which I have recently finished.

The suitcase which I want to show you today was made as a  sample for a potential commission. I still don't know if the customer loved it, since I have just mailed him the pictures. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Without further ado, here it is... The color palette was a customer's choice. I've put some old ATC cards which I had in my stash from the previously created project.

On the inner panels of the suitcase I used the brown faux leather. I wanted to add some stitching to it, but my sewing machine refused to help me in that :)

The next time I create a suitcase, I think I will get back to making paper handles and not the leather ones, because even two layers of leather felt to me quite flimsy, that's why I decided to strengthen them up with the hemp cord by wrapped around the handle.

The inside looks pretty plain:

And here is the back:

The suitcase can be used for storing old traveler's notebook or other memorabilia.

What about the colors? do they look ok together? Will be happy to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cafe Parisian - Mini Notebook

Hello dear friends!
I forgot to share here on my blog a little notebook which was created with the gorgeous Graphic 45 "Cafe Parisian" papers and the beautiful dies by Fantasy Hobby Shop

To bind the book I used the instructions from the post by Sue Lui.
You can find the links to the Fantasy dies in this post below.

Here are the links to the dies:

On the inside front cover there is a thin belly bend for notes, tickets etc.

The notebook measures 6" x 4" (10,5 х 15,5 cm) and feels really nice to hold :)

That's all for today. Thank you for taking time to stop by my blog today.

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian - Macaroon Treat Box and a Card - Gift Set

Hello dear visitors!

Today I am sharing a little treat box for macaroons and a matching card, created with the new Café Parisian collection. I think this paper is absolutely great not only for making mini albums, embellishing recipe books and making other décor pieces, but it is also perfect for quick presents’ projects.

I created a box for holding 6 tiny macaroon cookies, cut out a window in the lid, covered the sides of the box and added several cut out images from the “Café Parisian”. It did not demand a ton of time or materials, but turned a tiny box into a beautiful item, which will warm the heart of the one getting it J You add a card for a personal message and your heartfelt present is ready.

Trash to Treasure - A Box From an Empty Scotch Bobbin - Tutorial

Hello!

Recycling is always fun and today I want to show you a little present box which was made from an empty scotch bobbin, the ones we usually throw away so easily :)

At the bottom of this post you will find my video tutorial on transforming the bobbin into a box, but first let's look at the result:

For embellishing the box I've used the papers from St. Nicholas collection by Graphic 45 and the following dies from the Fantasy Hobby Shop:
"Фонари чудес и волшебства"
"Сосновые ветки 1"
листья "Огненного цветка"

Here is the link to the video tutorial. The video doesn't have any sound or music, so don't worry, your computer is ok :) It is rather self explanatory, so I thought I will keep silent this time.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will give this tutorial a try.

Needle Book - Fantasy DT

Hello everyone!!

I hope it is ok, that not all of my current posts are New Year/ Winter / Christmas related :)
Today I am here with a little fabric needle book, which I created following a tutorial from Amy Sinibaldi.

For embellishing I die cut several floral elements from felt, using the following dies by Fantasy Hobby Shop:
Нож для вырубки Fantasy "После дождя - лист"
Ножи для вырубки Fantasy листья "Огненного цветка"

I've used the fabric from my old pink jeans and added a cotton fabric too, in between these two layers, there is a layer of felt for more stability. The inside pages are made of pink color felt.

I've also added felt die cuts to the inner pages:

For a change it was really fun to do something with fabric, and I am really happy that now a few needles that I have are organized in one place and are easy to take out and use.
